You don't need to spend a ton of money to give your apartment an updated look. All you have to is be a little creative using any of the following items and your place will instantly look refreshed.
1. Globes Are Cool

This is such an easy and inexpensive way to add some color to your place. Candles are also a must-have to either set the mood, or to kill the odor. Either way, you're always safe with a Vanilla scented one.

It cracks me up to see people displaying vases with nothing in them. So here's a little tip...you can pick up great looking flowers on a budget at Trader Joe's. Flowers make people smile.
5. Ashtrays
Now by no means am I advocating smoking. However, a cool glass blown ashtray is kinda bad ass. You can throw coins in them, potpourri, or like Grandma did, fill it with candy.
